David
Finkbiner has consulted to over 195 privately held companies in turnarounds,
reorganizations, strategic planning, operations, information systems and financial management.
He is skilled in engineering and implementing
strategic, operational, and financing plans to turnaround and grow business
enterprises. Over the past 30 years, David has managed 38 turnarounds and 45
under performing client engagements. In
2006, he became the first and only Wisconsinite to win the Turnaround
Management Association’s coveted Turnaround of the Year Award; he is only the
third person from the entire
In addition to engineering turnarounds,
he has negotiated more than 22 mergers, acquisitions and business sales, and
has valued over 60 companies. On more
than 20 different occasions, he has testified as an expert witness on valuation
and other business matters.
David’s depth of experience covers a wide variety of industries including
manufacturing, construction, distributing, retail, and service. He is particularly strong in manufacturing
where he has consulted to more than 70 different companies with a concentration
in lumber and wood products, paper and paper converters, cheese plants, machine
shops, metal fabricators, and machinery producers.
He founded the Firm in 1978. During 2000-2002, he also contracted as a
Regional Director with Morris Anderson & Associates, a national turnaround
