Alan Verploegh

 

Alan Verploegh is an experienced C-level executive with a proven history of success in unlocking value in both Fortune 500 corporations and small, privately-held companies.   He demonstrates a strong ability to empower and motivate manufacturing and service organizations by energetically focusing on clear goals and objectives, accountability and consistent, concise communications.

 

Alan has led senior management teams through comprehensive strategic planning, business development and value stream analysis resulting in accelerated top- and bottom-line improvement.  He has navigated a number of organizations through intense periods of economic downturns and industry restructuring while launching lean initiatives and sustaining process improvement programs.  He has broad experience in diverse industries including:  engineered products, manufacturing, construction and healthcare.

 

Most recently, Alan was the CEO for A&B Process Systems, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of automated process control systems located in Stratford, Wisconsin.  Prior to this, Alan was the Interim CEO for Aspirus, Inc., Wausau, Wisconsin, a $350 million integrated healthcare organization.  From 1998-2005, Alan was the President and CEO of the Apogee Wausau Group, Inc., Wausau, Wisconsin; Apogee is a $750 million manufacturer and installer of custom metal windows and curtain wall systems.  Prior to Apogee from 1987-1998, Alan was with Caradco, Inc., a $140 million manufacturer of residential wood windows located in Rantoul, Illinois; Alan was promoted to President in 1991.  From 1971-1987, Alan held positions with Kusan, Inc. (a Division of Bethlehem Steel) and Johns-Manville Corp.

 

Alan holds dual engineering degrees from Iowa State University of Science and Technology and an MBA with Honors from Boston University.
